Georgia Tech Professional Education
While pursuing an M.S. in Digital Media at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Midtown Atlanta, I had the opportunity to work as a Communications Assistant for Georgia Tech Professional Education (GTPE)—a branch of the university dedicated to lifelong learning and professional development. Given that I was one of the few people at an engineering school with an English degree(!), I was promptly hired to assist four other communications officers (both in-house and remotely) with content and email marketing, as well as public relations materials such as informational flyers and brochures. On the administrative side, I wrote course catalog descriptions for Georgia Tech’s summer undergraduate program and organized press release data in Microsoft Excel for more accessible analysis.
